The Origin

Created in 1994 under the name VMS, the MS Pétanque brand quickly established itself as a leader in the petanque industry. The name VMS pays homage to the founders of the company, with the "S" for Henri Salvador, famous singer and petanque enthusiast.

MS Pétanque boules are entirely made in France, in Haute-Marne, and are distinguished by their unique forging process. This manufacturing method allows you to obtain boules with an anti-rebound structure thanks to precision stamping. This process ensures a reduction in nervous reactions on the field, thus guaranteeing a consistent performance.

The Evolution

Since 2017, under the direction of Mr. Sanchez, a former employee of the company since 1996, MS Pétanque has continued to grow. In January 2021, the company moved to a new building designed to optimize production and improve employee working conditions. Petanque courts have even been set up to organize events on site.

Since 2022, MS Pétanque has also invested in the automation of its machines, thus guaranteeing unparalleled precision in the weighing and control of each boule.

Their Technology

MS Pétanque boules are the only ones on the market to be manufactured by forging, a process which offers exceptional characteristics. The boules benefit from full fibering and an internal anti-rebound structure (internal grooves and ribs), allowing a reduction in rebound and limited recoil during impacts. Manufacturing

Boulenciel petanque boules are designed with remarkable precision, using digitally controlled machines. Each boule begins in the form of a bar of stainless steel or carbon, from which two ground half-shells are extracted. These shells are then hardened by heat treatment to obtain a soft or semi-soft boule, depending on the player's preferences..

Once welded and ground to ensure a sphericity of less than 0.02 mm, the boules are balanced with exceptional precision, less than 0.01 mm of the total weight.
