Thanks to their composition, stainless steel (inox) boules are much less prone to oxidation than carbon steel boules. They thus maintain a cleaner and shinier appearance over time, requiring only occasional maintenance.

Advice :

⭑ Do not leave your boules in the trunk of your car, it is exposed to sudden temperature variations which lead to condensation. These high humidity conditions will, in the long run, be detrimental to your boules by promoting their oxidation. So remember to take your boules out of the trunk of your car to store them indoors, dry.

According to Article 8 of the Conditions required for the approval of competition petanque boules of the FIPJP :

a) Manufacturing tolerance on each boule :
The maximum difference between the engraved weight and the actual weight cannot be greater than + or - 5 grams.

b) Tolerance for wear due to play :
Weight loss must not exceed 15 grams below the marked weight.

MANUFACTURING TOLERANCE :

Weight Tolerance :
The maximum difference between engraved weight and actual weight does not exceed +/- 5 grams.

Ex : If you order a triplet with 710 gram boules, the actual weight of each boule may vary between 705 and 715 grams.

Diameter Tolerance :
The manufacturing tolerance for diameter is +/- 0.5 mm.

Ex : If you order a triplet with 74mm diameter boules, the actual diameter of each boule may vary between 73.5 and 74.5mm.

Tolerance for high-end models :
Some high-end models benefit from tighter tolerances :
• Weight Tolerance : +/- 2 grams
• Diameter Tolerance : +/- 0.3 mm
