Description :

The Master Inox, the latest model launched by MS Pétanque in December 2024, stands out for its design in very soft stainless steel (110 kg/mm²). Ideal for players who appreciate the feel of stainless steel, this boule offers maximum softness thanks to its specially designed internal ribs that reduce bounce and recoil.


Use :

This model of petanque boules is particularly suitable for shooters.

* We prefer to wait to test the Master Inox further on the field before sharing our opinion on its performance.


Technology :

This set of 3 boules is equipped with Anti-rebound technology patented by MS Pétanque. Made by forging, a unique technique on the market, these boules have a ribbed internal structure. This characteristic gives them an effective anti-rebound system, offering better control and behavior upon impact with the ground.


Finish :

These stainless steel boules feature a titanium blue finish applied over a soft shot-blasting. Over time, with wear and ground friction, this coating gradually deteriorates, gets scratched, and then completely disappears.


Special Mention :

Although the name of the model Master Inox may seem engraved upside down, this is intentional. It is engraved in reverse relative to the technical marking on the boule, which includes information such as weight, diameter, year of manufacture, and the unique serial number. This layout takes into account the usual rotation of the boule in the air.

Stainless steel (inox) maintenance

Thanks to their composition, stainless steel (inox) boules are much less prone to oxidation than carbon steel boules. They thus maintain a cleaner and shinier appearance over time, requiring only occasional maintenance.


Advice :

⭑ Do not leave your boules in the trunk of your car, it is exposed to sudden temperature variations which lead to condensation. These high humidity conditions will, in the long run, be detrimental to your boules by promoting their oxidation. So remember to take your boules out of the trunk of your car to store them indoors, dry.

If you don't know the diameter you need, measure your middle finger to get an idea of the size that will suit you best.

• Less than 69 mm = Size 71
• 69 to 74 mm = Size 72
• 75 to 80 mm = Size 73

Manufacturing Tolerances

According to Article 8 of the Conditions required for the approval of competition petanque boules of the FIPJP :

a) Manufacturing tolerance on each boule :
The maximum difference between the engraved weight and the actual weight cannot be greater than + or - 5 grams.

b) Tolerance for wear due to play :
Weight loss must not exceed 15 grams below the marked weight.


MANUFACTURING TOLERANCE :

Weight Tolerance :
The maximum difference between engraved weight and actual weight does not exceed +/- 5 grams.

Ex : If you order a triplet with 710 gram boules, the actual weight of each boule may vary between 705 and 715 grams.

Diameter Tolerance :
The manufacturing tolerance for diameter is +/- 0.5 mm.

Ex : If you order a triplet with 74mm diameter boules, the actual diameter of each boule may vary between 73.5 and 74.5mm.

Tolerance for high-end models :
Some high-end models benefit from tighter tolerances :
• Weight Tolerance : +/- 2 grams
• Diameter Tolerance : +/- 0.3 mm
